From the manufacturer: Trail cameras accessories, external battery pack. Very simple setup for battery installation. Press the battery eject button and insert 8 AA alkaline or lithium batteries. Reinstall the battery tray into the External Battery Pack. To test the batteries, press the battery test button. LED lights will illuminate to indicate the battery life remaining: 4 LEDs = 100%; 3 LEDs = 75%; 2 LEDs = 50%; 1 LED = 25%.

To connect the Battery Pack, open the rubber cover on the bottom of your trail camera's external power port. Line up the tabs on the power connector and the camera's power port, then twist the connector 90 degrees to lock it in place.

To mount the Battery Pack to a tree, use the strap provided and also make use of the attachment built into the back of the battery pack that fits a 5/16 cable lock for added security.
